System tray icon disable and remember where I finish
« on: April 18, 2011, 05:33:29 PM »
Hello, is here a chance to disable show system tray icon?
When I close player and open again, it would be nice start when I finished (last played song/radio before close). Is this functionality planned?

This functionality already exists in Windows http://www.online-tech-tips.com/computer-tips/how-to-hide-system-tray-icons-in-windows-xp/

Planned to set the focus to the last played track when restart, without automatic start playing.

Ok I let it go (program is free). But I think that it should be in program settings (only one checkbox), do not force users to studying Windows settings.

Ok, thank you

One reason: tray icon used to show/hide miniplayer. For example, enable miniplayer, click minimize button on miniplayer, now if tray icon is hidden, there is no way to show miniplayer again.

In my opinion is better when user can set software behaviour, eg. in winamp is posibility to set where you can minimize - in system tray or taskabar or both (here is picture http://img219.imageshack.us/i/winampintaskardq0.png/). Still your program is the best, fast, light very good ;)
My situation is, I have win7 and Winil is pinned on taskbar for quick start ;). So I have two Icons (in taskbar and in system tray) and I am quite sure that I will survive :) It is not big deal I will get used to it. ;)

In this situation the best solution is hide the tray icon by Windows itself.
I also do not exclude changes in the functionality of tray icon in the future, but currently no any plans in this direction.
