Multimedia keyboard
« on: July 21, 2010, 09:52:06 pm »

Hi,

I've just bought a multimedia keyboard (logitech media 600), but it seems Winyl does not recognize the dedicated keys (play/pause, next, previous).
I tried to setup them via the "hotkeys" menus, but keypresses are not detected.

Is there a setup somewhere to make winyl support these keys ?

Thanks for your answer

Try this test build: http://vinylsoft.com/download/test/Winyl(HKeyFix).zip
Unzip it to Winyl folder. This test version detect all unknown hotkeys.

If it's not work try this another test build: http://vinylsoft.com/download/test/Winyl(HKeyFix2).zip
It show the messagebox with the test information when you click media key, screenshot it.

Hi Alexander,

 Sad
Even with the second sofware, the keys are not detected.
Perhaps, they are not captured in the same way as usual keys ?

Typically, Media Player Classic Home Cinema accepts them natively but xmplay doesn't.

By the way, thanks for your proposition.

Yes, it's true.

Download this correct fix: http://vinylsoft.com/download/test/Winyl(HKeyFix3).zip
You no need to manualy set this multimedia keys in HotKeys dialog in this build, it support by default.

Hum...
I have tried your latest release and (for now) it does not work, but it does not work with MPC any more (but it used to work ! I've seen it !  Wink).
Gargl ...
I check my setup and keep you informed.

Thanks for all

Hi, Alexander,

Good news.
I'm glad to inform you that, after a reboot, multimedia keys are OK, in MPC and Winyl "HKeyFix3".
It seems that an update for Logitech keyboard driver is needed...

Thanks again for your fix.

It's good. You can rename this fix to Winyl.exe and use it.

Thank you for testing.
