Hello,

is it possible to compile Winyl for native 64 bit Windows application?

It is possible, but there is no reason for this.

if this is possible without hassle then I would like to test/utilize it. Native x64 applications generally run better on Win64 that x32.

It will require additional work every release.

Native x64 applications generally run better on Win64 that x32.
64-bit programs run the same in most cases. There are some advantages from 64-bit like ability to use more than 4GB of memory but it useless for Winyl.

Well, if it requires regular additional work, then it is probably not worth it. In addition to memory handling, there is a layer WoW that has to work for Win32 to run of Win64. Yes it works OK but Win64 native apps can run without this layer.

But overall OK, if Win32 is preferred version now then we can let it be. Maybe in the future 32 bit Win will be greatly diminished and thus only x64 can be offered.
